By using our website, requesting a quotation, or instructing us to carry out works, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
2. Our Services
Power Construction Ltd provides residential and commercial building services including, but not limited to:
- New Build Construction
- Property Renovations
- Kitchen Renovations
- Bathroom Renovations
- Extensions and Loft Conversions
- Structural Alterations
- Flooring, Decorating and Finishing Works
All services are subject to site inspection, project suitability, availability, planning requirements, and agreed specifications.
3. Quotations and Pricing
Any quotation provided by us is based on the information available at the time of assessment and may be subject to change if additional work, structural issues, or unforeseen conditions are identified during the project.
Quotations remain valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated in writing.
Additional work requested by the customer after commencement may result in additional charges.
4. Deposits and Payments
We may require:
- A deposit before work begins;
- Stage payments during larger projects; and
- Final payment upon completion of the works.
Payment terms will be confirmed in writing before the project commences.
Failure to make payments on time may result in suspension of works until outstanding balances are settled.
5. Planning Permission and Building Regulations
The customer is responsible for ensuring that any required planning permissions, landlord permissions, party wall agreements, or building regulation approvals are obtained before work begins unless otherwise agreed in writing.
We will carry out works in accordance with applicable building standards and regulations relevant to England and Wales.
6. Project Delays
While we aim to complete all projects within agreed timescales, delays may occur due to:
- Weather conditions;
- Material shortages;
- Supplier delays;
- Structural discoveries;
- Changes requested by the customer; or
- Events outside our reasonable control.
We shall not be held liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
7. Customer Responsibilities
The customer agrees to:
- Provide safe and reasonable access to the property;
- Ensure utilities are available where required;
- Remove or protect valuables and personal belongings;
- Inform us of known structural, electrical, plumbing, or asbestos-related issues.
We are not responsible for damage caused by pre-existing defects or unsafe site conditions not disclosed before works commence.
8. Variations and Additional Work
Any variation to the agreed scope of works requested by the customer may result in revised costs and extended completion times.
No additional works will proceed without customer approval.
9. Materials and Products
Materials may be supplied either by Power Construction Ltd or by the customer.
We are not responsible for faults, delays, or defects relating to customer-supplied materials, fixtures, fittings, appliances, or products.
Manufacturer warranties apply separately where applicable.
10. Liability
We will carry out all works with reasonable care and skill in accordance with applicable UK laws and recognised industry standards.
We shall not be liable for:
- Pre-existing defects or hidden structural issues;
- Normal wear and tear;
- Indirect or consequential losses;
- Delays caused by third parties or circumstances beyond our control;
- Customer-supplied materials or products.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability which cannot legally be excluded under the laws of England and Wales.
11. Workmanship Guarantee
We provide a workmanship guarantee of up to 6 months depending on the type and scope of the completed works, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
The guarantee does not cover:
- General wear and tear;
- Customer misuse or neglect;
- Third-party interference or alterations;
- Faulty customer-supplied products or materials.
12. Cancellations
Cancellations should be made as early as possible before scheduled works begin.
Where materials have already been purchased or labour allocated, reasonable costs may still be payable.
13. Website Use
